Important Information

You will need to be in a building connected either via a TMBC network cable or on the TMBC Staff Wi-Fi. Do not attempt this at home or in a non-TMBC connected building.
This article on FreshService contains a list of all sites with TMBC network connectivity. However many of these are not openly accessible to Staff, this is just to confirm whether your usual place of work has the appropriate connectivity.
- Your device will restart during this upgrade, so please make sure you have saved all your work before starting
Installation Instructions
- Open Software Center from your start menu, to do this click the windows icon search for “Software” and click Software Center
- Once in the Software Center please click Fortinet – FortiClient – 7.0.1

Click "Install"
- This can take a while to download and install so please be patient. Your device will reboot once the upgrade has happened.
- Once your device has rebooted, log into Windows as you normally would in the office and leave your device for around 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, please load up FortiClient from your desktop.
- Your FortiClient console should look like this, make sure under the Zero Trust Telemetry tab, the Status says Connected under the Centrally Managed by EMS
- If your device shows as above you are now ready to work
If it does not say connected and you instead see this screen:
Where it says Server Address or Invitation Code please type:
fortiems01.tameside.gov.uk
Then click Connect
This should connect you and display the correct screen as shown in step 7.
